OPEC oil output increases in May, led by Nigeria, Iraq, survey programs

OPEC oil output increased in May, a survey found on Tuesday, as higher exports from Nigeria and Iraq balanced out the effect of ongoing voluntary supply cuts by some members concurred with the wider OPEC+ alliance.

The Company of the Petroleum Exporting Countries pumped 26.63 million barrels daily (bpd) last month, up 145,000 bpd from April, the study, based upon shipping information and info from industry sources, discovered. << PRODN-TOTAL >

The boost from Iraq comes despite the country, OPEC's. second-largest producer, along with OPEC+ member Kazakhstan. vowing to compensate for earlier over-production by making. further cutbacks in the rest of 2024.
