Kremlin says Russia will shoot down Ukraine's F-16 fighter jets

The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would shoot down U.S.built F16 fighter jets sent out to Ukraine, which the F16s would have no considerable impact on the course of the war.

Lithuanian and U.S. authorities verified on Wednesday that Ukraine had received the very first order of long-awaited jets, which are geared up with a 20mm cannon and can carry bombs, rockets and missiles.

Inquired about the F-16s, Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov stated: If I'm not incorrect, rewards (for Russian forces to shoot them down) have currently been used.

He predicted the aircrafts would not be a magic pill for Kyiv's forces.

These planes will appear and slowly their number will decrease; they will be shot down and ruined, he stated.

These shipments will not be able to significantly affect the dynamics of events at the front.
