Reliance Industries, the operator of the largest refinery in the world, said on Thursday that it would 'consider' buying Venezuelan oil, if allowed to sell to non-US customers.

Caracas has reached an agreement with Washington to export 30-50 million barrels of Venezuelan crude oil to the United States, worth up to $2 billion.

Reliance stopped purchasing Venezuelan crude oil in March 2026, after the United States announced 25% tariffs on countries that bought crude from this South American nation. The conglomerate got its last parcel of Venezuelan crude oil in May.
