Anglo CEO says BHP quote forced his hand on demerger of S.Africa properties

In charge of Anglo American stated on Tuesday a bid by competing BHP to take control of the company forced him to speed up plans for a. spinoff of its South Africa's platinum possessions, a move set to. trigger issues in Pretoria weeks before a nationwide election.
