Eversource Energy posts quarterly loss, to sell stake in two wind tasks

Eversource Energy on Tuesday reported a loss in the fourth quarter, as the energy recorded aftertax disability charges of about $1.62 billion related to its offshore wind jobs.

Eversource strategies to offer its stake in two offshore wind projects - South Fork Wind and Transformation Wind to Global Facilities Partners - for $1.1 billion, and is checking out the sale of its water circulation unit as the business seeks to lower equity requirements and enhance regulatory variety.

Previously this year, Eversource had actually flagged it would incur charges of up to $1.6 billion throughout the quarter on 3 of its wind projects, owing to additional expenditures for building and schedule-related pressures.
