Kremlin states Ukraine's signal on talks seems in unison with Russia's position

The Kremlin said on Wednesday that Ukraine's signal on talks with Moscow appeared to be in unison with Russia's own position, but that more details were required.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Kyiv was prepared for talks with Russia if Moscow was prepared to negotiate in great faith, though he stated that Ukraine has actually seen no sign of that.

The message itself can be said to be in unison with our position, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed reporters when inquired about Kuleba's remark, including that information was required on the details.

You understand that the Russian side has never refused to work out, has always kept its openness to the negotiation process, however details are essential here that you and I do not yet know.

reported in February that Russian President Vladimir Putin's

suggestion of a ceasefire in Ukraine

to freeze the war was rejected by the United States after contacts between intermediaries.

Putin is ready to halt the war in Ukraine with a worked out ceasefire but the Kremlin chief is prepared to eliminate on if Kyiv and the West do not react, reported in May.

Putin in June said Russia would

end the war

in Ukraine just if Kyiv accepted drop its NATO aspirations and hand over the totality of 4 provinces declared by Moscow, demands Kyiv quickly rejected as tantamount to give up.
