China fulfills car manufacturers to go over import tariffs on big cars ahead of EU tariff vote

China's Commerce Ministry consulted with automakers and industry associations on Friday to go over raising import tariffs on largeengined gasoline cars, sounding a warning as the European Union nears a. tariff decision on Chinese electrical automobiles.

The 27-strong bloc is because of vote in October on whether. to adopt additional tasks of as much as 36.3% on Chinese-made. electric automobiles on top of its basic 10% import tariff.

State-owned tabloid Global Times, which initially reported. the examinations into European pork and dairy, in June likewise. raised the prospect of China raising its import tariff on. large-engined gas vehicles.
