Japan's Eneos shuts 153,000-bpd Negishi CDU for maintenance

Japan's greatest refiner, Eneos Corp, shut the 153,000 barrelperday (bpd) crude distillation unit (CDU) at its Negishi refinery near Tokyo on Sept. 9 for scheduled upkeep, a business representative said on Thursday.

The refiner, a system of Eneos Holdings, anticipates to reboot the system in mid- to late-November, the spokesperson said.

On the other hand, Eneos rebooted the 136,000-bpd CDU at its Oita refinery in southwestern Japan on Sept. 1 following prepared turnaround that started on May 13, the representative said.

At its Kawasaki refinery near Tokyo, the 172,100-bpd No. 2. CDU was restored online on Aug. 9, and the 77,000-bpd No. 3. CDU was rebooted on Aug. 29, following planned maintenance that. began on May 13 and March 22, respectively, according to the. representative.

Separately, the refiner restarted the 145,000-bpd No. 1. CDU at its Sendai refinery in northern Japan on Aug. 15 after

suspending

it on Aug. 1 due to system problem, the spokesperson said,. without disclosing information of the problem.

On Aug. 10, Eneos conducted an unplanned shutdown of the. 175,000-bpd CDU at its Kashima refinery near Tokyo due to a. system problem, without any restart date yet scheduled, the. spokesperson stated.
