Anglo American worked with advisers to sell 2 nickel mines in Brazil, states country head

Anglo American hired financial consultants to sell two nickel mines in Brazil, the miner's country head, Ana Sanches, informed reporters on Monday.

At an occasion in Belo Horizonte, Sanches said the business has already mapped firms with potential interest in buying the mines, which lie in the cities of Barro Alto and Niquelandia, both in the Brazilian state of Goias.

The two possessions produce together about 38,000 lots of nickel per year.

Sanches did not call the financial consultants which had been worked with or offer a particular timeline for the sales, but stated she was not anticipating any offer to be announced this year.

We are now speaking with business around the globe, there are journeys currently arranged to tactical places abroad to provide the nickel project, she said.

The nation head added Anglo American could also sell some exploratory assets in other regions together with the two mines, depending on how the talks advance.
