Acerinox, which specialises in stainless steel, said it. anticipated its third-quarter core revenues to be comparable to those. in the 2nd quarter, as need in Europe remains soft.

There is a slowdown in all sectors in basic, which could. likewise pick up after the summer season if there is any indication of more. self-confidence, Velazquez stated, calling vehicle, building and. household home appliance markets amongst those affected.

However, the business's shares were 3.6% greater by 1136 GMT,. after it stated demand in the U.S. was stable, supported by its. high-performance alloys division.

The commentary on the US was encouraging enough for stable. demand and specifically pricing, in spite of softer macro indicators. and clear indications of weakness ... in the carbon steel market,. Barclays expert Tom Zhang said.

Swedish peer SSAB warned on Wednesday of a. steeper than normal steel demand decline in the third quarter,. mainly affecting its Special Steels and Europe service locations.
