Saudi Arabian foreign minister plans Trump visit in the US

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister arrived in the United States Tuesday on an official trip to plan Donald Trump's anticipated visit to the Kingdom later this spring. A source close to Saudi royal court confirmed the news.

Sources said that Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud will also discuss Gaza, and the situation of Yemen's Houthis when he meets with U.S. officials.

The trip was planned before last week

A source official confirmed Prince Faisal’s arrival in Washington, but gave no further details.

Trump's first foreign trip in 2017 began with a stop at Saudi Arabia and Israel.

The U.S. President met with Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday at the White House and discussed the proposal that the U.S. take control of Gaza.

Globally condemned

Saudi Arabia is one of the countries that has done this.

Trump said Monday that he also would like to see the war in Gaza end and that, he believes that this could be achieved relatively soon.

The United States launched airstrikes in Yemen, which borders Saudi Arabia on the south in an attempt to stop the Houthis, a group that is aligned with Iran, from attacking ships in the Red Sea.
