China refinery output slips 1.8% y/y on upkeep, falling profit margins

China's oil refinery output slipped 1.8% from yearago levels in May, stats bureau information showed on Monday, as refiners carried out prepared upkeep overhauls and processing margins were pressured by increasing crude costs.

Refiners processed 60.52 million metric tons of crude oil in May, according to information from the National Bureau of Data ( NBS), comparable to 14.25 million barrels per day (bpd).
