Investment wins for UK's new federal government as it holds summit

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer invited worldwide magnate to London on Monday for a financier summit where business pledged billions of pounds of investment into Britain.

Below is the list of investments revealed.

IBERDROLA

The Spanish eco-friendly power group said it would spend 12 billion pounds ($ 15.7 billion) to double its investment in its Scottish Power subsidiary to a total of 24 billion pounds over 4 years.

DATA INFRASTRUCTURE

Britain said U.S. firms ServiceNow, CyrusOne, CloudHQ and CoreWeave would invest a combined 6.3 billion pounds ($ 8.2 billion) in information centre technology in the country.

ServiceNow, an AI platform and software business, will invest 1.15 billion pounds over the next 5 years while CyrusOne revealed plans to expand their financial investment into Britain to 2.5 billion pounds in the coming years.

CloudHQ is set to develop a 1.9 billion pound data centre in Oxfordshire, England, with CoreWeave, an AI hyperscaler, pledging a 750 million pound increase into Britain.

DP WORLD

The UAE-based ports and logistics group will pump 1 billion pounds into London Gateway - a port near the British capital - with plans to make it the nation's biggest container terminal within five years.

STANSTED AIRPORT

Stansted Airport, London's third busiest, will benefit from a 1.1 billion pound investment over 5 years to expand its terminal and improve existing facilities. Manchester Airports Group owns Stansted Airport.

ELI LILLY

Britain's life sciences will benefit from a 279 million pound investment from U.S. pharmaceutical huge Eli Lilly as part of a collaborative collaboration with the federal government.
