Renewable energy financier Alcazar Energy Partners stated on Tuesday it has launched the largest wind farm job in North Macedonia with a financial investment of a minimum of $500 million in debt and equity to assist create 400 megawatts of renewable energy.

The Shtip job, situated 75 km south of the capital Skopje, is a central part of a deal revealed at the COP28 environment talks last year to accelerate the nation's shift away from coal-fired power generation.

Building is set to begin in the 2nd half of 2025.
