Exxon Mobil raised package of CEO Woods to $36.9 mln in 2023

Exxon Mobil President Darren Woods received $36.9 million in overall compensation for 2023, up nearly 3% from a year earlier, the oil major said in a. regulative filing on Thursday.

And in proxy filing ahead of its May 29 yearly conference of. shareholders, Exxon recommended its investors vote versus all. proposals submitted by a minority of shareholders.

These include calls to cut executive pay incentives for. greenhouse gas emission decreases, an additional pay report on. gender and racial bias and an additional report on plastic pollution.

Exxon has successfully obstructed propositions by activist. financiers after submitting a problem in court. Arjuna Capital and. shareholder activist group Follow This dropped their proposal. requiring tighter environment targets following the suit.
