Carlyle works with Goldman's former top commodities expert Jeff Currie

Carlyle has selected Goldman Sachs' former head of commodities research Jeff Currie to lead the private equity giant's energy transition analysis, it said on Tuesday.

Currie has been among the most popular Wall Street energy analysts in current decades. Known for his bullish forecasts, including accurately predicting the product rate boom in the 2000s, he left Goldman Sachs in August in 2015 after 27 years in the bank.
