Russian attacks eliminate 3 in Ukraine's Donetsk area

Russian attacks on Ukraine's east on Thursday eliminated at least three people and injured five more, local authorities said.

Donetsk region guv Vadym Filashkin said on the Telegram messenger that a person was killed and 3 others injured near the town of Chasiv Yar, which Russian troops have been pressing their attack on for months.

In the night hours, Filashkin added, 2 people were killed and two injured in Russian shelling of neighboring Toretsk.

More than 2/1 -2 years since Russia launched the full-blown invasion of Ukraine, the eastern cutting edge stays the place of the most intensive battling.

Moscow's troops have been progressively inching forward towards the strategic hub of Pokrovsk, and just recently advanced towards the town of Vuhledar, further to the south.

Russia rejects purposefully targeting civilians, although its soldiers have eliminated countless them during their invasion.
