Malaysia's Sapura Energy to offer stake in SapuraOMV to TotalEnergies for $705 mln

Malaysia's Sapura Energy will offer its whole 50% stake in oil and gas upstream business SapuraOMV to French energy group TotalEnergies for $ 705.3 million, the company said on Monday.

The deal, which includes a cash payment of $530.3 million and the release of a $175 million commitment associated to a. funding center, will make TotalEnergies the sole owner of. SapuraOMV, after Austrian oil and gas business OMV offered. its 50% stake in February.

The SapuraOMV possessions are totally in line with our strategy to. grow our gas production to satisfy need development, focusing our. portfolio on low-priced and low-emission properties, TotalEnergies. said in a declaration.

SapuraOMV holds a 40% and 30% operating interest in blocks. SK408 and SK310 respectively, both situated offshore Sarawak in. Malaysia, and also has expedition interests in Mexico,. Australia and New Zealand.
