New Zealand to introduce bill to reverse oil and gas exploration restriction

New Zealand's federal government stated on Sunday it would introduce legislation to eliminate a. questionable ban on overseas petroleum expedition to bring in. investment to the country's oil and gas sector.

The costs would end the restriction, in place given that 2018, on. expedition outside onshore Taranaki, an energy-rich area on. New Zealand's North Island, Resources Minister Shane Jones stated. in a statement.
