Google signs largest carbon-removal agreement yet and aims to scale up new model

Google's biggest carbon-removal agreement yet involves backing a Brazilian project run by developer Terradot. The project aims to?cut methane emission from rice farming?and.capture carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Executives told.

Terradot stated that verification can add up to $100 per ton in enhanced rock weathering costs. This allows carbon removal to continue for longer, before third-party verifying would reduce this cost.
