New Zealand announces 'independent review' of 2050 methane targets

New Zealand's federal government on Saturday said an independent panel of specialists would review the nation's methane targets, with the goal of assisting domestic climate modification objectives for 2050.

This independent review, which will report back to the federal government by the end of the year, will provide evidence-based guidance on what our domestic 2050 methane target must be, consistent with the concept of no extra warming, Agriculture Minister Todd McClay said in a statement.
