United States contractor Vulcan to challenge expropriation of land in Mexico for nature reserve

U.S. construction company Vulcan Materials stated on Tuesday it planned to protect itself using all offered legal avenues after Mexico stated land that contains a companyrun limestone quarry and port on the Riviera Maya as a nature reserve.

Late on Monday, Mexico's federal government decreed that a vast system of land stretching from Playa del Carmen to Tulum to be a. safeguarded natural reserve, including Vulcan's operations.
