A2A gets license to develop one of biggest solar farms in northern Italy

A2A stated on Tuesday it obtained a bulk shareholding in a solar venture, in a new step towards the building and construction of one of the largest photovoltaic plants in northern Italy.

The nation's regional energy business bought a 70% stake in Parco Solare Friulano, which owns the permit for the building and running of a solar task with a capacity of 112.1 megawatts at peak (MWp), in two towns near to the northern city of Udine.

The financial investment, in addition to a formerly approved solar farm in the very same area, will permit A2A to establish a task with total installed capability of more than 150 MWp.
