NextEra Energy to sell $2 bln of equity units

Energy company NextEra Energy said on Monday it intends to sell $2 billion of equity systems, each issued in a mentioned quantity of $50.

Shares of the business, which owns renewables service NextEra Energy Resources and managed electric utility Florida Power & & Light, were down 4.8% in after-hours trading.

NextEra said the equity units sale is expected to produce net profits of about $1.94 billion, and will be used to fund investments in its energy and power projects.
