A police statement said the burglars assaulted two cops patrols near the border in between 2 provinces.

Pakistan's interior ministry and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and ordered cops management to take swift action to go after and apprehend the perpetrators.

The interior ministry put the death toll at 11. Cops said they could verify 9 dead and they were waiting for more details.

The border area is thought about a no-go location for citizens. Authorities and other police do not have much control of the location, which a large number of gangs use as a. safe haven.
