Researchers say that an experimental blood test for the detection of colorectal carcinoma also has promise as a way to prevent it.

Researchers believe that larger trials of this new blood test is still required, mainly because it detected polyps (small bumps or growths) but was less effective in identifying flat or sessile areas of concern.
