EverDye, a French startup, raises a fresh round of funding totaling $18 million

EverDye is a French startup that claims to have developed textile-dyeing processes that emit less carbon than before. The company announced on Tuesday that they had raised 18 million dollars in a fresh funding round.

Why it's important

EverDye is raising funds to reduce CO2 emissions in the fashion and textiles industries. The industry also wants to find environmentally friendly ways to make clothes. Fashion is responsible for around 8% global greenhouse gas emission and water pollution.

By the Numbers

Credit Mutuel Innovation, a financial firm based in Paris and founded in 2021, led the fundraising efforts for EverDye. The company claims to use existing machinery and low temperatures for dyeing, which saves water and reduces the need for heavy industrial machinery.
