Police say ten people were killed in a shooting that occurred in British Columbia province, Canada.

Canadian police reported that ten people, including the suspected shooter were found dead following a shooting on 'Tuesday in a town located in northeastern British Columbia.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported that six people were discovered dead in a Tumbler Ridge high school. Two more were found at a residence thought to be "connected" to the incident. A third person died while on their way to the hospital.

Police said that a suspected'shooter' was also found dead, apparently from a self-inflicted wound. They added that they did not believe there were any other suspects, or a threat to the public.

Tumbler Ridge, a remote municipality in northern British Columbia with an estimated population of 2,400 people, is located at the foothills the Rocky Mountains. It's approximately 1,155 km (717 mi) northeast of Vancouver.

Police said that another 25 people are being assessed for injuries in a local medical facility.

"All of?our thoughts go out to the people of Tumbler Ridge." Nina Krieger, British Columbia's 'Public Safety' Minister, said in a'statement' on X that she had spoken with the'mayor' and the local MLA and we are now offering any additional help to the RCMP.
